福建話

午休跟同事 O 和 E 聊天。

O：「閩南語跟福建話是什麼關係？」
我：「福建有很多方言系統，包括閩東閩南閩北。閩南泉州漳州仗人數霸權自名福建話。」
O：「人多勢眾啊，可以理解。」

E checking google map, “where is hokkien?"
“Let me translate everything I just said into English."

“This province, Fujian is pronounced Hokkien in dialect, exact two characters”
“Why?"
“Hokkien don’t have the F sound, like ‘Fa Cai’ -> ‘Huat Cai’"
“okay…"
“Then the one character abbreviation ‘Min’ also refers to this province."
“Why? not at all related”
“Every province has an one character abbreviation, for no reason."
“all not related?” “yes, mostly”
“Then there are different dialect systems, e.g.‘Minnan’ ‘Mindong’ as in Mahjong”
“okay?"
“In SG Minnan, Chuan/Chang people dominates, branding their dialect ‘Hokkien’."

E, “Then what about Hakka?"
O, “???"
me, “Hakka=客家 dialect systems are everywhere, more of DNA but not location."

福建話解釋那麼久，客家話一句就介紹完了。
讓我想起之前聽 A 說：「外國人很多分不出廣東話和普通話，但福建話聽起來不一樣。」
我：「怎麼會？一般講台語跟國語的聲線是一樣的啊，還可以混講。廣東話才差很多吧？」
A ：「可能只有台灣人那樣講中文吧。」
好像蠻有道理的，中國人講中文的聲線好像真的比較接近廣東話…

Re: 聲線泛指發音方式，跟聲調關係不太。台語和國語的聲調顯然不同。
